Last week I taught two workshops at MTSU (Middle Tennessee State University) for the 7th year in a row. Dr. Carol Ann Baily is the Director of the Adult Services Center and is the sponsor for these workshops.

As part of my reference materials I brought with me the best book I’ve read in the last year. It was Daniel Pink’s “A Whole New Mind“. Since Dr. Baily has been through this workshop many times, she spent some of the workshop looking through Pink’s book that I have highlighted in other postings. She started out taking some linear notes and then said, “What am I doing?” She immediately switched to drawing an idea map.

The photo of the linear notes represents the first few pages of chapter one. The map (which took her under an hour to create) represents an overview of the entire book. Pretty impressive!
