An Idea Mapping Success Blogs Weblog
Yesterday I found out that PMPs can earn 15 PDUs for attending the Idea Mapping Workshop. After receiving a certificate verifying successful completion of the 2-day workshop, PMPs can report their PDUs under Category 4 – “Other Providers”. So if you need PDUs, this would be a great chance to have a marvelous learning experience as well as earn your PDUs. Join me at one of these upcoming workshops: September 22-23, 2009 in Murfreesboro, TN, or October 13-14, 2009 in San Francisco, CA at the Mindjet Offices, or December 7-8, 2009 in Palm Beach, FL.
Here is a link that includes documentation about Category 4 PDUs, and also a video on how to report these PDUs.
The purpose of this blog is to share idea mapping examples and related learning from my Idea Mapping, Memory, Speed Reading, and Certification Workshops. This blog is dedicated to my Certified Idea Mapping Instructors, my clients, Mind Mapping and Idea Mapping practitioners around the globe.

I think a great idea is to have these workshops online, I don’t know about the feasibility though.

I’ve been able to pull off a 1-hour and soon to try a 90-minute webinar. Unfortunately this workshop is extremely visual and hands-on. Part of the whole learning is the environment that gets created in the room with all the whole-brain stimulation, toys, music, and lots of activities. I don’t use powerpoint slides and there is a lot of hand-drawing involved — which you can’t bring through well online. The other drawback is that I can’t give you feedback because I can’t see how you are performing certain tasks and I can’t see your idea maps. So as much as I would love to put up a class online, I agree with you that feasibility is an issue. Maybe someday:)

I attended one of Jamie’ two-day workshops. It really is a hands-on experience. Plus, she is very gifted and an extraordinary “trainer.” Everything she does has a **purpose** – you get decades of experience (some of it is subtle). This is not your normal event. It’s definitely worth the time and money.

Tim,
Thanks for your kind words. May I have your permission to use this quote?
Also the webinar I did August 26 for RMC Project Management should be available this week in an archived version. You mentioned about a month ago that there was a woman that you thought would be interested in seeing that since it filled up so quickly. Was she from 3M? I can’t find the email with her name and/or in it. Do you want to forward the link to her once I have it or do you want me to do that? Have a great Memorial Day!
