I can’t help but reflect on the devastation that WWII brought on this country. This palace was a gift to Poland from Stalin and built from 1952-1955. Although not well received at the time (and rightfully so), it has become a landmark in Warsaw and visible within a 30km radius. This palace is what I […]

I have a big backlog of things to share, but I haven’t shown you a portrait in a while and this is only the second time that someone has completed Marilyn Monroe. (The first was the previous week at Boeing which I will share in another posting. This past week I was at OTPP (Ontario […]

The first one to answer the Name Tent Puzzle in the previous post correctly was Chris Blatnick followed quickly by Staffan Noteberg. Watch for another name tent in a few weeks!

This is a fun guessing game has been well received by the readers of this blog. This name tent was created by a workshop participant from one of my Idea Mapping Workshops at ACH (Automotive Components Holding, LLC)  this summer. Can you guess the name? I’ll share the name and the first person to guess […]

This idea map (#120 within this blog) is featured in today’s Mindjet Monthly Newsletter with a little twist. Mindjet added a video clip of my description of this application to their newsletter. We filmed this in January when I was in San Francisco for the VizThink conference. Below is the linear description of today’s Idea […]

I’ve had the privilege of teaching for many new clients around the globe, and more importantly YOU (the readers of the book […]

Liza Jennings Seiner is a CIMI (Certified Idea Mapping Instructor) that has shared several idea mapping examples since the inception of this blog — including her idea map that celebrated the life of Linda Goodremont who lost her battle with cancer. (Search on “Liza Seiner” for her other contributions.) That was Idea Map #8, and […]

The answer to yesterday’s brain-teaser is Rogers. Kroger is a national grocery store chain in the USA, so the solution is: Kroger (not Farmer Jack’s) minus the “K” plus an “S”. Scott Knitter from EDS was the first person to correctly guess the name and Lisa Harvey Roach (Certified Idea Mapping Instructor) was the second.

OK, that was just too much fun! Let’s try one more and then I’ll get back to sharing a stack of idea maps that are waiting in the cue. The instructions and purpose for this activity was posted on August 31, 2008, so if you are new to this game you may want to read […]
