For the 4th year in a row, Middle Tennessee State University (in Murfreesboro, TN) starts the year with a bang! This year Jamie Nast will lead approximately 150 adult students and 50 faculty through the idea mapping learning & discovery process. Two student sessions will be held on Thursday September 14th and the faculty session will be September 15th.
Dr. Carol Ann Baily, Director of Adult Services Center, is responsible for organizing these workshops each year. This year the classes were filled without doing any marketing! MTSU sets a marvelous example for making this unique opportunity available to their students.
John Wiley & Sons just unveiled the press release for Idea Mapping: How to Access Your Hidden Brain Power, Learn Faster, Remember More, and Achieve Success in Business by Jamie Nast. Click here to view the press release.

Yesterday John Wiley & Sons sent me the first Hot-Off-The-Press copy of Idea Mapping! It looks great. The trial CD included from Mindjet (which loads on PC or MAC) provides additional class and credibility. The warehouse is starting to ship to stores!
If you are a book lover, you must see a website called www.LibraryThing.com! Not only can you catelog 200 books online for free, but you can also write reviews, chat with others who have similar interests, and see the books some of your favorite authors are reading. Congratulations to the team at LibraryThing for creating such a fun site!
I’m working with Katy Colletto from Mindjet to do a 1-hour webinar. The content will focus on team collaboration as it relates to Idea Mapping. After I facilitate you through some intriguing activities, Kaizad Irani (whose team won the landscape architechural design for the World Trade Center Memorial Park) will share how Idea Mapping helped their team collaborate to win this great honor. We are targeting the end of September 2006, but exact dates have not yet been set. Visit this blog next week and we should have more details for you at that time.
I am currently working with Wiley representatives, Louise Koh and Cynthia Mak to plan a series of 2-day Idea Mapping workshops throughout Asia. Along with the workshops, I will be involved in media events, book signings, and interviews. The locations we are currently targeting include Singapore, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Hong Kong, Taipei (Taiwan) where I will work with my good friend Simon Tai, and possibly Tokyo. Tentative time frame is March 2007. Workshops will likely be limited to the first 50 registrations, so keep your eyes on the website (www.IdeaMappingSuccess.com). Hopefully the class schedule will be up in the next few weeks!
The purpose of this blog is to share idea mapping examples and related learning from my Idea Mapping, Memory, Speed Reading, and Certification Workshops. This blog is dedicated to my Certified Idea Mapping Instructors, my clients, Mind Mapping and Idea Mapping practitioners around the globe.
