An Idea Mapping Success Blogs Weblog
I’m working with Katy Colletto from Mindjet to do a 1-hour webinar. The content will focus on team collaboration as it relates to Idea Mapping. After I facilitate you through some intriguing activities, Kaizad Irani (whose team won the landscape architechural design for the World Trade Center Memorial Park) will share how Idea Mapping helped their team collaborate to win this great honor. We are targeting the end of September 2006, but exact dates have not yet been set. Visit this blog next week and we should have more details for you at that time.
I am currently working with Wiley representatives, Louise Koh and Cynthia Mak to plan a series of 2-day Idea Mapping workshops throughout Asia. Along with the workshops, I will be involved in media events, book signings, and interviews. The locations we are currently targeting include Singapore, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Hong Kong, Taipei (Taiwan) where I will work with my good friend Simon Tai, and possibly Tokyo. Tentative time frame is March 2007. Workshops will likely be limited to the first 50 registrations, so keep your eyes on the website (www.IdeaMappingSuccess.com). Hopefully the class schedule will be up in the next few weeks!
This week I got a note from Eric Neslson, Communications Coordinator for Purdue’s Krannert School of Management in West Lafayette, Indiana. He asked me to write a column on my upcoming book, Idea Mapping, for the October issue of the Krannert Magazine. This publication goes to 30,000 alumni. Since I am a Purdue and Krannert alum, I couldn’t be more excited!

I just finished reading Marketing Outrageously by Jon Spoelstra. It has to be one of the best business books I have ever read. Not only was it an entertaining read, but it was also filled with real examples of how to market OUTRAGEOUSLY!!
Even though the examples were not necessarily along my line of work, it was not difficult to ask myself, “How could this apply to me?” It should be required reading for every company.
